Hello everyone!

First of all, thank you to those who came to watch the Battlestar de dessin organised by Central Vapeur last Saturday in Strasbourg. I finished in the semi-final, but succumbed to the sheer power of the grand winner Amina Bouajila. It was really a great moment, and well done to my fellow artists, who were all excellent!

Otherwise, with my colleagues from the Éditions Proche, we're finishing a new fanzine, entitled LA BELLE MORT, which we've been working on since summer 2016. Its theme is the Day of the Dead in Mexico, and you can see in the photo the final artwork ready to go. It will be available next week.

here's a large colored pencil drawing, the start of a little series, which feels good after the series of black-and-white ghosts.

Otherwise, I'm getting back into screenprinting projects, with a small leporello and a larger one, which is slowly taking shape. I'm making the drawings, some previews soon!

Finally, on 25 March I'll be in Strasbourg to take part in the Battlestar de Dessins organised by Central Vapeur as part of their festival and the Rencontres de l'illustration. I hope to see you there to cheer me on, I'll be up against some big names!

I illustrated the article Viol Médiatique written by Alexandre Penasse in the newspaper Kairos, Special issue #3 entitled L'OCCIDENT TERRORISTE, Au-delà du terrorisme, questionner le pouvoir. You can see the illustrations at a larger size in the Publications section of the menu on the left.

The newspaper Libération published a wonderful article entitled "BD : Le fabuleux dessin d'Amélie Patin", about my leporello Si tu me cherches, je suis là-bas in its Saturday 11 February issue. I am very happy and honored, and I warmly thank Quentin Girard, the author of the article.
