Presentation
I studied illustration at the HEAR Strasbourg, graduating in 2015. I then took the CFPI programme at the same school, receiving its certificate in 2016, before settling in Nantes.
Alongside my illustrations for publishing, children's books, the press and events, I self-publish books — in particular leporellos, which I print entirely in screenprinting and bind by hand. Still in screenprinting, I produce posters and cards that I present at festivals. I also exhibit my original drawings.
My work has this self-publishing dimension through my involvement in collective and community projects. Indeed, since 2012 I have regularly taken part in creating fanzines and collective editions. I have also volunteered for associations such as Maison Fumetti and helped set up the Nantes studio Projéta in 2019, where I have been based ever since. I am currently part of a micro-publishing house called PAPER - CUT.
Through my images, I seek to create dreamlike worlds peopled with strangely coloured animals and abundant vegetation, in which the characters wander and live.
Even when it is a single illustration, I like to imagine the story of my characters, their histories, their cultures…
In this, I strive to make my worlds coherent, researching existing fauna, flora and architecture at length, as if my worlds could really exist somewhere, elsewhere.
